Service Rangers Program
The Service Ranger Program sends small groups of volunteers to complete a specific project or goal as requested by in-country personnel. Often, whole families, including children who are 9 or older, travel together. Parents understand that this is a dynamic and tangible way to teach their children the meaning of giving to others.
Service Rangers usually travel as a group of friends, students and/or family members, and spend from one to two weeks in country. They are friends and supporters of WWO. They support WWO financially, but they want to give more.

For the missions, we require that all minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or approved chaperon. WWO does not support the travel of infants or toddlers on Service Rangers missions and all children should be at least nine years old.
In this program, the volunteers fund all of their own travel expenses and other expenses related to their project. Once we have your application(s), WWO will provide a budget that will give you an estimate of the full cost of the trip.
Service Rangers do not need to have specific skills, but all must be willing to work hard, respect cultural differences, and be part of a team. They are more ambitious for others than for themselves, more committed to the WWO mission than to a personal agenda. They are a breed apart, and once you are a Service Ranger, you are forever part of a special community of caring individuals.
