HIV/AIDS Treatment Programs
WWO treats orphaned children with HIV/AIDS in Vietnam and Ethiopia. We were the first nongovernmental organization to import pediatric three-drug antiretroviral (ARV) treatment to Viet Nam, in cooperation with UNICEF's procurement program. In Ethiopia, WWO opened and staffed a free-standing pediatric AIDS clinic which is now a part of the WWO-AHF Family Health Center). In Vietnam we treat the children at Tam Binh 2, Ba Vi and Vung Tao.
WWO is committed to providing long-term medical care to every HIV/AIDS-positive orphan it treats.
It costs $500 to treat an HIV/AIDS positive child for one year and the number of such children is growing every day!
